Trace detection of explosive material is an important screening layer in airport security. These systems use mass spectrometry, gas chromatography or ion mobility spectrometry for the detection of minute particulates that bear the chemical signature of known explosive prohibited materials. Spellman provides precise, well regulated power supplies for the detectors and ion / electron optics used in these systems. Models are available up to 40kV and 30W with optional fast or hot switching capability.
